Statement

It is with great sadness that the team of Avcen has to announce the untimely death of one of the great pioneers and visionaries of aviation. Our day of success and accomplishment also turned out to be a day of tragedy.

Mike Dacre died in a tragic accident on 16th August 2009 testing Avcen’s Jetpod prototype.  Mike had a dedicated passion to the project and as a world class aviator was extremely well respected in the world of aviation.  He was an “aviation entrepreneur” prepared to push the boundaries and his many friends and colleagues will sorely miss him.  He died living his dream, and his team here at Avcen, will work together to live his dream making the Jetpod a successful member in the family of aviation.
